Designed in collaboration with the project client.

Designed for the locality of Bungundarra, Central Queensland, this conceptual hampton-style family home creates a cozy and peaceful retreat, much like a koala’s sanctuary in the treetops of the surrounding gum trees. Inspired by the soft, neutral tones and relaxed nature of the Australian Koala, this hampton-style home borrows a calm, coastal and nature-inspired aesthetic. The large outdoor alfresco provides a seamless indoor-outdoor living connection, blurring the line between home and environment. Providing open spaces capturing the South East breezes, its a place designed for comfort and relaxation, much like a koala lazily perched in a tree.

Did you know?

Whilst being poisonous to most animals, koalas survive on a diet consisting of eucalyptus leaves, consuming up to one kilogram a day! However with over 800 species of eucalypt, koalas eat less than 50 species!
